Forres toastmaster has a stand at the community market on Saturday. Gilda and I had an enjoyable morning meeting many people. The community market has good friendly atmosphere as meeting place for friends to catch up buy food and hang out together. I guess this was the norm before we all started to shop in supermarkets. You see friends meeting in markets across mainland Europe every week; we just seem to have lost the appreciation for it. With the community and farmers, markets now starting in Forres we might be getting it back.
I really want to see this event grow though out this year and Toastmasters will be at the next market, possibly be running an event in the pavilion.
Gilda and I met some great local people many interested in what Toastmaster has to offer in leadership and confidence building. We are looking forward to welcoming them to our meeting on Tuesday 25th or the next on June 8.
